  7. Before Upgrading!

  9. Make a backup copy of your preferences and database files before upgrading to the new version. 1.5 uses a new database format that is not compatable with the previous version. Once you save your database in the new format you will not be able to go back to the previous version.

  11. If you already have a system running with TOTW 1.0 there is no need to replace your current "Tabs On The Web Data" folder with the one included in the 1.5 package. Just replace the application and all your data, prefs and templates will be preserved.

  17. • New database structure significantly reduces the startup time of the application. On my 8600/300 (no G3) a 6000 record database now loads in less than 4 seconds. In order to convert your database: run the application, go to the preferences window and click ok to force it to re-save the database file. Now restart the application to quickly re-load the database.

  19. • Added multi-threaded support for Apple Share IP servers and WebTen.

  21. • Added new tag to the Browse Page that allows you to specify how many lines to display on each page. If you leave out the tag it will default to 10.

  25. • You can now export the database to a tab delimited file.

  27. • Changed the tag delimiter from <> to [] so that it will be more compatable with WYSIWYG editors. You can now load the template files into Dreamweaver or other editors to do your layout and they should preserve the special TOTW tags. 1.5 is backward compatable with previous template files so there is no reason to edit your current templates unless you want to use them with an html editor.

  29. • After adding a new record or editing an existing record you are now taken back to the admin page instead of the detail page for that record to make it much easier to add/edit multiple records.

  35. • NextRecord/PreviousRecord links now work as expected, returning the next/previous record of your query instead of the next/previous record in the database.
